The Kirana Hills and the Khujab Nuclear Complex are located south and south-west of the city, respectively. Because these sites house nuclear warheads and are potential targets during periods of heightened tension with India, it is advisable to avoid these specific locations if regional skirmishes flare up.
Getting there
You can reach Sargodha by train, which serves as an easy way to travel as the station connects to various cities across Pakistan. If you prefer traveling by road, you can arrive from Lahore via a journey primarily along the M-5 motorway. Other roads also provide connections between Sargodha and Chiniot as well as other nearby cities.
Getting around
You can navigate the city using public buses, which operate without pre-paid tickets or passes; you simply pay the conductor in cash for your journey. While taxis are still available at the airport and major bus stands, they have largely been replaced by rickshaws.

In the Abhal-Mohri villages, visit the Midh Ranjha, an expansive and ancient banyan tree located near the Chanab river, which also serves as a scenic spot for a picnic.
Visit Takht Hazara to see the birthplace of the legendary figure Ranjaha and an ancient mosque built in his name. You can also visit local landmarks such as Company Bagh, Shaheen Chowk, Iqbal Colony, Satellite Town, and Qurban Ali Chowk.
