Pasrur
Introduction
Pasrur is a historical city in Sialkot District, in Pakistan's Punjab province, and serves as the capital of Pasrur Tehsil. The city is administratively divided into 26 wards of the municipal committee Pasrur.
Pasrur is well connected by road to Narowal, Sialkot, Daska and Gujranwala. The Pasrur railway station has a railway track passing through the city, connecting Pasrur and Sialkot to Lahore via Narowal Junction.
Getting around
Pasrur is a compact, traditional town, so most of your movement happens on foot. Walking is the natural way to cover the central bazaars and the older parts of town, and it gives you the easiest feel for the place. Expect to share the streets with rickshaws, motorcycles and carts, and plan your walks for the cooler parts of the day.
For local trips, arrange transport informally — through your accommodation, at the bus stand, or by flagging down rickshaws and local taxis on the street — and agree on the fare before setting off. No metered or app-based system is documented, so confirm availability on the ground rather than relying on an app; hiring a car and driver for the day is a common approach in this part of Punjab. Pasrur has its own railway station, with a line connecting Pasrur and Sialkot to Lahore via Narowal Junction, making the train a genuine option for reaching larger cities; confirm schedules at the station. By road, the town is connected to Narowal, Sialkot, Daska and Gujranwala, and intercity bus and van services along these corridors are the practical way in and out. One caveat: an electric bus scheme in neighbouring Narowal district lists "Pasrur Chowk" among its route points, but that is a stop in Narowal, not a service within Pasrur town — ask locally which services actually stop in the city. No airport serving Pasrur is identified in the available sources; Sialkot lies to the north, so the sensible approach is to fly into the airport serving that region and continue by road along the Sialkot–Pasrur road, or by rail via the Sialkot–Narowal Junction line, checking current options locally before you travel.
Three days in Pasrur
Day one: Start in Pasrur itself, in Sialkot District of Punjab, Pakistan, and get your bearings on foot around Pasrur Chowk, where the town's everyday life passes by. Walking is the best way to settle into Pasrur Tehsil's main town before you range further afield.
- Spend the morning walking around Pasrur Chowk.
- Use the afternoon to get oriented within Pasrur and its tehsil.
Day two: Use Pasrur as your base for the wider district. Sialkot lies within reach, as do Daska and Gujranwala, while Narowal and Narowal Junction sit in the neighbouring direction. Expect a day of short hops rather than long journeys.
- Head out towards Sialkot and Daska.
- Continue to Gujranwala, or take the Narowal direction via Narowal Junction.
Day three: Give the morning to Pasrur before turning towards Lahore for the onward leg of your trip. For a slower finish, simply walk Pasrur Chowk once more and take in the town at an unhurried pace. No fixed plan is needed; by this point you will know which corners of Pasrur you want to revisit.
- Spend a final morning in Pasrur.
- Travel on towards Lahore, or linger around Pasrur Chowk.
