Getting around

Panalanoy sits within the Tacloban area on Leyte, and for practical purposes you treat Tacloban as your transport base. No rail, metro, or tram network is documented here, so plan on road-based transport for both arriving and moving around. Long-distance buses and busferries terminate at the Tacloban station, which makes it a useful orientation point for your onward local travel.

From Manila you have two documented bus options, both bookable online through 12go.asia. Silver Star Liner runs a direct busferry from PITX, departing once daily and described as the cheapest option; because it combines road and sea legs, expect a longer, more involved journey. DLTB Bus runs from its Aurora Cubao station and is the longest of the documented options. Flying is the fastest way in: AirAsia Philippines, Cebu Pacific, and Philippine Airlines all serve Manila–Tacloban, with departures roughly hourly and a total journey of a few hours. Once you land at Tacloban (TAC), you will still need a road transfer to reach Panalanoy.
