Ciudad Benito Juarez
Introduction
Ciudad Benito Juárez, usually shortened to Juárez, sits in the eastern part of the Monterrey metropolitan area in Nuevo León, and serves as the seat of the municipality of the same name. It borders Pesquería to the north, Santiago to the south, Cadereyta Jiménez to the east, and Guadalupe to the west, placing it within easy reach of the wider Monterrey conurbation.
Three days in Ciudad Benito Juarez
Day one: Base yourself in Ciudad Benito Juárez and get your bearings in its central streets before branching out. The city sits within Nuevo León, close to Monterrey, so it works well as a starting point for exploring the wider metropolitan area. Spend the afternoon wandering the local neighbourhoods and settling into the pace of the place.
Day two: Head toward Monterrey to see how the state's largest urban centre contrasts with Ciudad Benito Juárez. From there you can continue to Guadalupe, which forms part of the same built-up area, and round off the day back in Ciudad Benito Juárez.
Day three: Use your final day to explore the smaller municipalities around the city. Pesquería lies nearby and offers a change of scene, while Cadereyta Jiménez and Santiago sit further out and reward a slower pace. Return to Ciudad Benito Juárez in the evening.
