The city has changed names more than once in its recent history. It began as the village of Akbarabad, was converted to a city in 1995, was renamed Mohajershahr in 1996, and took its present name, Nasimshahr, in 1999.

Three days in Nasimshahr

Day one: Start in Nasimshahr itself, getting your bearings in this city of Baharestan County. Wander through the Bostan District to see how daily life unfolds, then take the short trip into Tehran to compare the capital's pace with Nasimshahr's own. Round off the day with a meal of Golestan fare, letting the flavours of the region set the tone for your stay.

Day two: Head out Along the routes linking Nasimshahr with its neighbours, beginning with Akbarabad. Continue to Mohajershahr to see another side of the area, then return to Nasimshahr for an evening among its streets. It is a day best taken slowly, with time to notice how each place differs from the last.

Day three: Give your final day to Nasimshahr and the Bostan District, revisiting whatever caught your eye earlier. If time allows, make one last pass through Tehran before you leave Iran, using the journey to gather your impressions of the wider region. The pace is yours to set, whether you linger in one spot or move between them.
