If you prefer a more upscale stay, Hotel Pars is situated on the riverside and offers views of the area. While it may not meet every international standard, it provides a premium experience for those looking to splurge.

Food & drink

You can satisfy your appetite with various options ranging from quick bites to traditional meat dishes. Numerous sandwich shops and fast food outlets are scattered throughout the city for a casual meal. For something unique, you can visit an ice cream store tucked away in a cellar beneath a cake shop or stop by Haji Baba Coffee Shop near the bazaar as you head toward the white bridge.

If you prefer a sit-down meal, some local restaurants serve meat kebabs and Shir Mahi (fish) kebabs, with daily specials available. Regarding beverages, your options are limited to soft drinks and fruit juice since alcohol is not legally available. You will find many high-quality fruit juice shops throughout the city; however, you should avoid cantaloupe juice and banana milkshakes during the summer months.

What to see and do

Explore the riverside areas of Ahvaz, where you can stroll along the river boulevard and visit various parks.
