Sepatan
Introduction
Sepatan is a town and administrative district in Tangerang Regency, part of the province of Banten on Java, Indonesia. It sits in the northwest corner of the regency, bordering the city of Tangerang to the southwest. The district you'll be travelling through is the residual one left after the northern and eastern halves were split off to form Pakuhaji District and Sepatan Timur District, so it is compact and largely residential in character.
It comprises the town (kelurahan) of Sepatan together with seven rural villages (desa), all sharing the postcode 15520. This is not a destination built around sights; come instead for a sense of everyday life on Java's western edge, where town streets give way quickly to village land.
Three days in Sepatan
Day one: Start in Sepatan, a town in Tangerang Regency, Banten, on the island of Java in Indonesia. Get your bearings in the town centre, then head out to the surrounding districts to see how the area blends town and countryside.
Day two: Explore Pakuhaji District and Sepatan Timur District, both within Tangerang Regency. Take your time moving between them and notice how each has its own character within the wider regency.
Day three: Use your last day to connect what you have seen with the broader context of Tangerang and Banten. This is a good moment to revisit the parts of Sepatan you liked most before you move on.
