Parung
Introduction
Parung is a town and administrative district in Indonesia, sitting near the southwestern suburbs of South Jakarta while officially belonging to Bogor Regency. If you are travelling between Jakarta and Bogor by the western alternative road, you pass through Parung — it is a place you move through rather than a destination in its own right.
Three days in Parung
Day one: Start in Parung itself, a town in Indonesia, and use it as your base for getting oriented. From here you can head north toward South Jakarta, which lies within reach for a longer excursion, or look east toward Bogor Regency when you want to explore beyond the town.
Day two: Give the day to Jakarta, the capital, and its urban neighbourhoods. If you prefer a slower pace, stay closer to Parung and treat the day as a chance to wander the surrounding area rather than rushing between stops.
Day three: Head for Bogor, the city that gives Bogor Regency its name, and spend your final day there before returning to Parung. If time is short, keep the day local and use it to revisit whatever you enjoyed most on the first two days.
