What to see and do

Explore the historical depth of the city by visiting the Heraklion Museum of Ancient Greek Technology Kostas Kotsanas and the Archaeological Museum. You can also view local landmarks such as the RAM Rulers, the Statue of Eleftherios Venizelos, and the Church of the Holy Apostle Pentecostal of Heraklion.

Beyond the city center, you can visit the sites of Erotokritos & Aretousa.

Three days in Irakleion

Day one, you begin your journey in the heart of Heraklion. You can explore the local area and visit the Heraklion Museum to immerse yourself in the history of Crete.

Day two, you travel beyond the city center to witness the ancient Minoan ruins at Knossos Palace. You can also see the statue of Eleftherios Venizelos or visit the Church of Holy Apostle Pentecostal.

Day three, you explore more of the region, including the site of Aretousa and the area of Erotokritos.
