Maneah
Introduction
Manéah is a town and sub-prefecture in the Coyah Prefecture, part of the Kindia Region in western Guinea. It sits within the country's western belt, in the same prefecture as Coyah and within reach of the Kindia Region's broader landscape.
Three days in Maneah
Day one: Start in Manéah, the town that gives the area its name, and use it as your base for getting your bearings. From here you can head into Coyah Prefecture, which surrounds the town and forms the wider administrative setting for your stay. Take the day at an easy pace, walking the streets of Manéah and getting a feel for how the town sits within the prefecture before planning the rest of your time.
Day two: Travel on to Coyah, the main town of Coyah Prefecture, and spend the day exploring it. It is the natural next stop from Manéah and gives you a sense of the prefecture beyond the town you started in. Return to Manéah in the evening, or stay in Coyah if you prefer to keep the two centres separate.
Day three: Look beyond the prefecture toward the Kindia Region, which lies within Guinea and offers a change of scene from the Coyah area. Use the day to move between the places you have already seen — Manéah, Coyah and the surrounding prefecture — and to appreciate how they fit together within the region and the country as a whole.
