Hanfeng
Getting around
Hanfeng is a neighbourhood within Guancheng District, not a self-contained tourist zone, so getting around means plugging into Zhengzhou's wider bus and metro network. Use the junction of Hanfeng Road and Xuzhuang Street as your landmark: it's a local bus stop, and most of the surrounding streets are reachable from there on foot or with a short onward bus ride. Several Zhengzhou Bus routes pass through the junction — Route 14 heads toward Zhengzhou East Station if you're connecting to the high-speed rail hub, Route 158 covers the eastern stretch toward East Fourth Ring Hanfeng Road, and Route 985 runs toward Huafeng Home Furnishing City. On a typical weekday, Route 158 starts early and runs until late, with frequent departures and often only a short wait. Treat timings as a rough guide, since local schedule data is aggregated and can shift. Other stops sit within a short walk, including Hanfeng Road Jiachen Street and one near the Jingzhu Highway exit.
Hanfeng has no metro station of its own, so think of the metro as your link to the rest of the city. Boxue Road is the nearest station and a walkable distance away; Putian West and Henan Orthopaedics Hospital are within reach but noticeably farther on foot. Lines 1, 3 and 5 serve the area, with Line 1 running from early morning until after midnight — a useful safety net for late travel. In practice, take a bus or short taxi ride to the nearest station, then use the metro for longer cross-city journeys; buses are better for short local hops. Taxis and ride-hailing are a convenient fallback for the first or last leg, for luggage, or late at night, and having your destination written in Chinese characters makes things much easier. Walking works well within the immediate Hanfeng Road area, but beyond that, combine it with buses, the metro or a taxi.
Three days in Hanfeng
Day one: Base yourself in Hanfeng and get your bearings along Hanfeng Road, the main artery through the area. Guancheng District is the wider district to orient yourself within, and Zhengzhou is the city you are travelling through. Use the local bus routes and lines that serve the area, or take taxis, to move between stops. Walking is practical for shorter stretches. Note that several Zhengzhou Bus routes and lines connect the area, and Zhengzhou East Station is a key transport hub for arrivals and departures.

Day two: Head east along East Fourth Ring Hanfeng Road, then continue to Huafeng Home Furnishing City, a large home-furnishing complex worth browsing. From there, Xuzhuang Street and Hanfeng Road Jiachen Street offer local street character. Jingzhu Highway and Boxue Road are useful reference points for navigating this side of the area. Chinese is the language you will hear and see throughout.

Day three: Move toward Putian West and Henan Orthopaedics Hospital, both landmarks on this side of Hanfeng. Use the bus routes and lines, or taxis, to link these stops with the rest of your itinerary. On your final day, treat the area as a whole: Hanfeng Road remains the spine, with Guancheng District and Zhengzhou beyond it. Other stops along the way are easy to reach by bus or taxi, and walking fills the gaps between them.
