When to go
You can experience a wide range of seasonal shifts in Ulanqab, from the harsh elements of the early months to the milder atmosphere of late summer. If you visit during the long winter months, you will encounter very dry and cold conditions. As spring arrives, be prepared for strong winds that characterize the transition toward warmer weather.
The summer months offer a shift toward warm and somewhat humid conditions, with the majority of the annual rainfall occurring during this period. If you prefer drier air, early autumn provides a transitional window as the warmth fades and the environment becomes dry again before the winter sets in.
