Jiaojiang
Introduction
Jiaojiang is a district of Taizhou in Zhejiang Province, and it serves as the seat of that prefecture-level city. The district takes its name from the Jiao River, which runs through the area.
Three days in Jiaojiang
Day one: Start in Jiaojiang, the central district of Taizhou in Zhejiang Province. Walk along the Jiao River, which runs through the city, and get your bearings on the neighbourhoods that line its banks. Use the day to settle in and see how the district fits together.
Day two: Give the Jiao River your full attention. Follow it through Jiaojiang and watch how the city turns toward the water. Taizhou's character shows in these riverside stretches, so take your time rather than rushing from one end to the other.
Day three: Look beyond the district into Taizhou as a whole, keeping Zhejiang Province in mind as the wider setting. Return to the Jiao River for a last pass through Jiaojiang before you leave.
