Rio Pequeno
Getting around
Rio Pequeno is a residential district in São Paulo's western zone, and it has no metro station of its own. You'll get around locally on SPTrans buses and connect to the metro for longer trips into the center. Several useful lines pass through or near the Rua David D'Angers area: the 775A-10 toward Pinheiros, the 809T-10 serving Desvio Feira Semanal and COHAB Raposo Tavares, the 715M-10 toward Largo da Pólvora, the 809H-10, and the 8021-10 toward Butantã for onward connections. The nearest stops are on Av. Prof. José Maria Alkimin, a couple of minutes' walk away, and Av. Eng. Heitor Antônio Eiras Garcia, a few minutes further. Buses start early and some lines run past 2 AM, though schedules can change, so confirm with a transit app on the day.
For the metro, walk roughly fifteen minutes to Vila Sônia – Professora Elizabeth Tenreiro on Linha 4, the São Paulo–Morumbi line. Service doesn't run around the clock, so check the time before planning a late return; otherwise you'll be relying on buses or a taxi. Pay for everything with a single stored-value fare card that you top up and tap on buses and metro alike, rather than hunting for single-ride tickets. Walking covers short local errands, but the metro walk is long enough that you may prefer a bus connection or a short ride-hailing trip with bags or after dark. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are the practical fallback for late nights, luggage, or addresses away from a stop.
Three days in Rio Pequeno
Day one: Start by getting your bearings in Rio Pequeno, a neighbourhood in São Paulo's western outskirts. Use SPTrans buses to reach the area, and keep some change ready to pay your fare. Walking is a practical way to cover the local streets, and taxis are available for longer hops. Begin along Rua David, then head toward the Largo to see how the neighbourhood gathers around its small squares.

Day two: Turn your attention to the area's institutions and green edges. Professora Elizabeth Tenreiro and Engenheiro Heitor Antônio Eiras Garcia are names you will meet on the streets and on the bus routes, so use them as landmarks. Avenida Professor José Maria Alkimin is another useful reference point. For a change of scene, the Desvio Feira Semanal gives a sense of the weekly market rhythm, and the COHAB Raposo Tavares housing estate shows another face of the district.

Day three: Use the morning to connect Rio Pequeno with its neighbours. Buses run toward Vila Sônia and Morumbi, and Pinheiros is within reach for a wider choice of services. If you prefer to stay local, the Largo and Pólvora area rewards a slow walk. Several bus lines serve the district, so check your route before setting out and allow time for the ride back.
