Cambe
Getting around
Cambé has no urban rail system, so plan on getting around by road. Local buses cover the city, taxis and ride-hailing apps handle door-to-door trips, and walking works well for short distances in the central areas around Av. Brasil and the surrounding commercial streets. If you are carrying luggage or heading beyond a short stroll, a taxi, ride-hailing car or bus is the more practical choice, and it is worth being sensible about which routes you walk, especially at night.
For arriving from elsewhere, everything converges on a single point: Bus station Gregorio Wladeck on Av. Brasil, the only coach stop in Cambé. Intercity services are run by Viação Garcia and Viação Penha, with routes reaching the city from Rolândia, Marialva, Umuarama, Ponta Grossa and Curitiba, and onward connections to Londrina, Maringá, Mandaguari, Marialva and Jandaia do Sul. Book ahead — typically three to seven days before travel — for cheaper fares; onboard amenities vary by operator but commonly include air conditioning, power sockets and Wi-Fi, and you should check with the specific company if you are bringing a bicycle or sports equipment. BlaBlaCar carpooling is an alternative from Curitiba and São Paulo, depending on drivers making the trip. If you fly in, you will land at a regional airport and continue by road, so confirm locally what ground transport is running on the day you travel.
Three days in Cambe
Day one: Start in Cambé itself, getting your bearings along Avenida Brasil and the local streets around the centre. For longer hops, the local bus terminal connects you to Londrina and Maringá, and intercity services run by Viação Garcia and Viação Penha cover the wider region. If you prefer to book ahead, look for Wi-Fi where you're staying and reserve seats online.
Day two: Head out to nearby towns in the north of Paraná. Rolândia and Marialva are within easy reach, while Mandaguari, Jandaia do Sul and Maringá make a fuller day out. Gregorio Wladeck is another stop worth noting on the local network. For a longer run, Umuarama and Ponta Grossa are served by intercity buses, and BlaBlaCar is an option for shared rides.
Day three: Take the bus to Londrina for a change of pace, or push further to Curitiba or São Paulo if you're continuing your trip. Book your ticket through the intercity operators or online, and confirm your departure point before you set out.
