Dubai Investments Park
Introduction
Dubai Investments Park, known as DIP, is a business park area of Dubai made up of two parts, Dubai Investment Park 1 and Dubai Investment Park 2. It brings together commercial, industrial and residential development in one place, so your visit can take in working districts, housing and the everyday life that connects them.
Within DIP 1 you'll find the Green Community Village and Green Community East to the north, while Dunes Village sits to the northeast in DIP 2. The area was established in 1995.
Getting around
Dubai Investments Park is a car-oriented district of long blocks and wide roads, so how you move around matters more here than in Dubai's tourist core. The park splits into two districts: Dubai Investment Park 1 to the west, home to Green Community Village and Green Community East, and Dubai Investment Park 2 to the east, where Dunes Village sits to the northeast. A single metro station serves the whole park — Dubai Investment Park Metro Station, coded R74 and often searched as "DIP Metro" — so don't look for separate stations for DIP 1 and DIP 2; those are administrative districts, not stops. The station is underground in the Green Community area of DIP 1, on the Red Line's Route 2020 branch toward Expo City Dubai, with Jumeirah Golf Estates the neighbouring station toward the city centre. It has two platforms with the concourse above, where you'll find ticketing and gates.
From the station, feeder buses run to both DIP 1 and DIP 2, which is how most metro passengers cover the last several kilometres into the residential and industrial districts. Bus F46 links the area to Ibn Battuta Bus Station, from where services such as E101 continue to Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station — there's no direct bus, so a transfer is required. Taxis are the most flexible option for DIP 2 and the industrial zones, with a dedicated rank and drop-off zone at the station, though queues build during the evening peak; Arabia Taxi is one operator serving the area, and ride-hailing apps are widely used for short hops. When instructing a driver, say "Dubai Investment Park Metro Station, Green Community entrance" to avoid confusion between the two districts. Walking is realistic only around the station, for the Green Community and the immediate DIP 1 frontage, and is most pleasant in the cooler months from November to March; beyond that, expect scarce pedestrian walkways. Many employers in DIP run their own shuttles, so ask your host or hotel whether one is available, and use the RTA S'hail app for live timings and route planning.
Three days in Dubai Investments Park
Day one: Start by getting your bearings in Dubai Investments Park, usually shortened to DIP. It is a large mixed-use district in Dubai, and within DIP you will find residential clusters such as Green Community Village, Green Community East and Dunes Village, each with its own quiet, suburban feel. Use the Dubai Investment Park Metro Station on the Red Line to reach the area, then walk or take a taxi from Arabia Taxi to explore the different neighbourhoods at an easy pace.
Day two: Head out from DIP toward Expo City Dubai, which sits close by and is easily reached by taxi or by continuing on the Red Line. In the evening, consider Jumeirah Golf Estates for a stroll and a meal. If you prefer to travel further afield, buses connect DIP with Ibn Battuta Bus Station, and from there services run onward to Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station.
Day three: Slow down and spend your last day within DIP itself, moving between Green Community and the surrounding villages on foot. Walking is a practical way to get around the residential parts of the park. The weather is at its most comfortable between November and March, so plan longer walks for that window. Many RTA buses and taxis serve the area, making it simple to return to the DIP Metro Station when you are ready to leave.
