Business Bay

Introduction

Business Bay is a central business district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, built on an area where Dubai Creek has been dredged and extended. It sits immediately south of Downtown Dubai, and the development is made up of numerous skyscrapers housing commercial and residential space.

The district is still under construction, with upwards of 240 buildings planned. Its infrastructure was completed in 2008, and the wider development was expected to be finished between 2012 and 2015.

Three days in Business Bay

Day one: Start by getting your bearings in Business Bay, the district that sits beside Dubai Creek and forms part of the wider Dubai landscape. Use the day to walk the waterfront and the streets between the towers, then head toward Downtown Dubai, which lies close by and gives you an easy first taste of the city's scale.

Day two: Give Downtown Dubai a full day of its own. Its draw is the concentration of things to see within a compact area, so you can move between them without long journeys. Return to Business Bay in the evening, when the district's waterfront is at its most pleasant.

Day three: Spend your last day in Business Bay itself, filling in whatever you missed at the start. If time allows, follow Dubai Creek, which runs through the city and connects the areas you have already seen. It is a straightforward way to close out three days in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
