Wooden Chalets and Torta Tre Monti on the Slopes of Monte Titano

Skate in a Rock Amphitheatre at the Cava dei Balestrieri
Below the towers, the Crossbowmen's Quarry — the Cava dei Balestrieri — is a natural rock amphitheatre, and through the festive season it holds an ice rink. The 24th edition opens on 28–29 November, then runs 5–8 December, 12–13 December, and 19–20 December, before switching to daily operation from 24 December to 6 January 2027. Christmas Day itself falls inside that daily run, so you can spend the morning on the slopes and the quieter afternoon in the market. If you want the fullest programme of street artists, aim for an opening weekend; if you want the markets at their most complete, the stretch from 20 December onward gives you 10:00–19:30 days on either side of the holiday itself. The New Year's Eve party is the natural anchor for a stay that straddles Christmas and Epiphany.
