Punggol is one of seven free-entry community celebration sites confirmed for the night, alongside Boon Lay, Keat Hong, Marsiling, Nee Soon, Tampines and Woodlands. Ride the North East Line Into the City for the Big Countdown
If you want scale, stay on the train and head for the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown. Live music runs at the Esplanade, light art projections fall across the facade of The Fullerton Hotel Singapore — designs often by artists with disabilities — and the World Christmas Market's Togetherland showcase fills the waterfront before fireworks go up over Marina Bay. At CQ @ Clarke Quay, homegrown bands and DJs play through the evening, drone shows move over the Singapore River, and art installations line the quays. These city-centre events are ticketed, so sort your entry before December. Sengkang itself is not listed as a countdown site — plan your night around Punggol or the city.
Fireworks Three Ways, and a Beach Party on Sentosa
The fireworks are not one show but several, and you can choose your vantage point accordingly.
- Singapore Sports Hub: a 35-minute fireworks display integrated throughout the event, headlined by K-pop group Super Junior with Benjamin Kheng and DJ Farah Farz. Ticketed.
- Marina Bay: fireworks over the bay, closing the Esplanade and Fullerton programme.
- Heartland sites: local fireworks at each of the seven community locations, including Punggol — free to enter.
- Sentosa, Siloso Beach: Mediacorp's "Let's Celebrate 2026" countdown show ends with fireworks over the beach.
Over on Palawan Green, the PAC-MAN Carnival — organised by J Team Productions and Star Live — brings interactive games and arcade-themed fireworks, while Palawan Kidz City Roof Garden runs movie marathons leading to midnight fireworks, with a "Discover Your Good" area inspired by Wicked: For Good.
Eat Your Way Through the Countdown
Every heartland site runs pop-up food vendors, which is the easiest and most local way to eat on the night — arrive early, walk the stalls before the music pulls you away, and treat the queue as part of the evening. In the city, the World Christmas Market's Togetherland showcase at Marina Bay gives you a second cluster of stalls to graze between sets.
