Fireworks Over the Corniche at Midnight
You'll hear the first thud before you see anything — a low boom rolling off the water, then the crowd along the Ajman Corniche turning as one toward the sky. On New Year's Eve, the emirate runs fireworks at multiple locations, and the waterfront is the centrepiece: the display is launched opposite the Ajman Saray Hotel, over the Gulf, so the reflections carry across the sand and back onto the faces of everyone lining the railings. Arrive early enough to walk the length of the corniche, and let the evening build around you.
Where Ajman Lights Up
Fireworks are the spine of the night, and you have four distinct vantage points to choose from depending on the evening you want.
- Ajman Corniche — the main waterfront display, fired opposite the Ajman Saray Hotel. The busiest and most atmospheric option, with the sea as a backdrop.
- Ajman Boulevard — fireworks in the city centre, with a lively atmosphere and easy access to the surrounding streets.
- Festival Land, Al Jurf area — family-friendly celebrations combining fireworks with entertainment on site, well suited if you're bringing children.
- Sweer Park, Masfout — a quieter display in natural scenery. Masfout is an exclave of Ajman up in the Hajar Mountains, so this is the choice for a calmer night under open sky rather than a city crowd.
All of these fall on New Year's Eve itself. Specific start times are not published in the listings, so plan to be in position well before midnight and treat the fireworks as the climax of an evening rather than a single appointment.
Ajman Pooram: A Full Evening of Kerala Music and Colour
If you want a seated, ticketed night with a programme rather than a spot on the pavement, the Indian Association Ajman hosts Ajman Pooram Season 2 — a New Year's Eve cultural celebration welcoming 2026, running from 6:00 PM to 12:10 AM, with Gate No. 2 opening at 5:00 PM.
The evening is built around Chendamelam, traditional Kerala percussion, alongside a live musical concert by Azsal & Akhila Anand's band. There's a robot elephant display, stage shows and cultural programmes through the night, food stalls, and games for children and adults, all leading into a New Year countdown.
Tickets are AED 35 for standard, AED 60 for Gold, and AED 100 for Platinum (VIP) — each tier includes access to the main event hall for the live concert and indoor programmes, while entry to the event compound itself is free. Children up to five years old enter free. Digital tickets are scanned at the gate and exchanged for wristbands, and you can also buy at the venue via a Q-Ticket QR code. There are separate queues for families and individuals. The organisers note limited venue capacity and expect high demand, so book ahead rather than turning up on the night.
Eating Your Way Through the Evening
Food stalls are part of the Ajman Pooram programme, which makes the Indian Association a straightforward option if you'd rather eat where you're already standing. Around the corniche and Boulevard, the New Year's Eve crowd is a walking one — you drift between the waterfront and the surrounding streets as the night progresses, so build in time to stop rather than committing to a single table. Wherever you settle, aim to be finished and back outside well before midnight; the fireworks are the reason you came, and you don't want to be watching them through a window.
Making a Night of It
Ajman is small enough that you can combine two of these in one evening: an early, unhurried dinner, the Pooram programme from 6:00 PM if you've booked tickets, then a move to the Corniche or Boulevard for the countdown. Families with young children should look at Festival Land in Al Jurf, where the entertainment runs alongside the fireworks. If you'd prefer to end the year away from crowds entirely, the drive out to Sweer Park in Masfout trades the city for the Hajar Mountains and a quieter sky.
Dates, venues and ticket prices for the ticketed event are confirmed for 31 December 2025 into 2026; the fireworks locations are the ones Ajman reliably uses to mark the night. Check current details with Ajman's tourism and municipal sources, and with the Indian Association directly, as the date approaches — then pick your vantage point, book what needs booking, and give yourself a clear run at midnight.
