Crater, also known as Kraytar, is a district of the Aden Governorate in Yemen. Its official name is Seera. It is located within the crater of an ancient volcano that forms the Shamsan Mountains.
As of 2003, the district had a population of 76,723 people. The district's position inside a volcanic crater is its defining geographic feature, giving it its common name.
