Mount Vernon

Mount Vernon is a city located in the state of Washington in the United States. Situated within the Skagit River Valley, it serves as the county seat and is the most populous city in Skagit County. The city is positioned approximately 51 miles south of the Canadian border and 60 miles north of Seattle.

As of the 2020 census, Mount Vernon had a population of 35,219, making it the 35th most populous city in Washington. It is one of two principal cities within the Mount Vernon-Anacortes Metropolitan Statistical Area, which encompasses the majority of Skagit County.
