Burlington is a city located in the state of Vermont in the United States. It serves as the county seat of Chittenden County. Geographically, it is situated 45 miles (72 km) south of the Canada–United States border and 95 miles (153 km) south of Montreal.
As of the 2020 United States census, Burlington had a population of 44,743. It is the most populous city in Vermont and holds the distinction of being the smallest U.S. city to be the largest city within its respective state.
