Cumberland is a town located in the northeastern part of Providence County in Rhode Island, United States. It was first settled in 1635 and officially incorporated in 1746.
As of the 2020 census, Cumberland had a population of 36,405 residents. It holds the distinction of being the largest town in the state of Rhode Island and ranks as the seventh-largest municipality within the state.
