Wayne is an unincorporated community located in the state of Pennsylvania, United States. It is situated within Delaware County and is positioned along the Main Line, a series of affluent suburbs of Philadelphia known for their location along the former Pennsylvania Railroad tracks. The area is recognized as one of the wealthiest regions in the nation.
The geographic boundaries of Wayne are expansive, extending across multiple townships. While its center is located in Radnor Township, the community also encompasses portions of Tredyffrin Township in Chester County and Upper Merion Township in Montgomery County. Due to the service area of the local post office, the community may also extend into Easttown Township.
The heart of the community was officially designated as the Downtown Wayne Historic District in 2012. This designation highlights the historical significance of the central area within the broader suburban landscape.
