Troy is a city located in the state of Ohio, United States. It serves as the county seat for Miami County and is the largest city within that county. As of the 2020 census, Troy had a population of 26,305, making it the 55th-largest city in the state of Ohio.
The city is situated along the Great Miami River and is positioned approximately 19 miles (31 km) north of Dayton. It is officially recognized as part of the Dayton metropolitan area.
