Jamaica is a neighborhood in Queens, one of the five boroughs of New York City. Located in central Queens, it is bordered by numerous adjacent neighborhoods including Hollis, Queens Village, and St. Albans to the east; South Jamaica, Rochdale Village, and John F. Kennedy International Airport to the south; Richmond Hill and South Ozone Park to the west; and Kew Gardens Hills and Jamaica Hills to the north.

As a major commercial and transportation hub in Queens, Jamaica serves as a significant transit center for the New York City area. The neighborhood is known for its diverse population and mixed residential and commercial character, with the Jamaica Station serving as a major transportation interchange for multiple transit lines and commuter rail services.
