Derry is a town located in Rockingham County in southeastern New Hampshire, United States. Despite being officially designated as a town rather than a city, it is the most populous community in Rockingham County, with a population of 34,317 at the 2020 census, making it the fourth most populous municipality in New Hampshire.
The town is known by the nickname "Spacetown" due to its connection to astronaut Alan Shepard, who was born in Derry and became the first American in space. The town also has literary significance as a former home of poet Robert Frost and his family during a notable period in his life.
