Butte

Butte is a consolidated city-county and the county seat of Silver Bow County in the state of Montana, United States. In 1977, the municipal and county governments merged to form the single entity known as Butte-Silver Bow. The city covers an area of approximately 718 square miles.

As of the 2020 census, Butte has a population of 34,494, making it the fifth-largest city in Montana. The city is served by Bert Mooney Airport, which operates under the airport code BTM.
