Portage is a city located in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, within the United States. It serves as one of the two primary cities that comprise the Kalamazoo-Portage Metropolitan Statistical Area.
As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 48,891. It is the smaller of the two main cities in its metropolitan area, which recorded a total population of 261,670 during the same period.
