Hastings is a city in Barry County, Michigan, and serves as the county seat. It is the only incorporated city in Barry County. According to the 2020 census, Hastings had a population of 7,514.
The city is surrounded by charter townships, with Hastings Charter Township bordering it on the north, east, and south, while Rutland Charter Township borders it on the west.
