Ferndale is a city located in Oakland County within the state of Michigan in the United States. It serves as an inner-ring suburb of Detroit situated along the Woodward Corridor.
The city is positioned approximately 10 miles (16.1 km) northwest of downtown Detroit and shares a border with Detroit to the north. As of the 2020 census, Ferndale had a population of 19,190 residents.
