Richmond is a city located in Madison County, Kentucky, within the United States. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 34,585, making it the seventh-largest city in the state of Kentucky.
The city serves as the principal city of the Richmond–Berea micropolitan area. This designated region encompasses all of Madison and Rockcastle counties and recorded a total population of 123,000 residents in 2020.
