Elizabethtown is a city located in Hardin County, Kentucky, in the United States. It serves as the county seat and functions as a home-rule class city under state law.

As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 31,394, making it the ninth-most populous city in Kentucky. It is the principal city of the Elizabethtown metropolitan area, which is part of the Louisville/Jefferson County–Elizabethtown–Madison, Kentucky-Indiana combined statistical area.
