Peru is a city in Miami County, Indiana, and serves as the county seat. Located 73 miles north of Indianapolis along the Wabash River, it is the most populous community in Miami County with a population of 11,073 as of the 2020 census. The city is part of the Kokomo-Peru Combined Statistical Area.
