Munster is a suburban town located in North Township, Lake County, Indiana, in the United States. Situated approximately 30 miles southeast of Chicago's downtown loop, it is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The town is bordered by Hammond to the north, Highland to the east, Dyer and Schererville to the south, and Lansing and Lynwood directly west across the Illinois border.
According to the 2020 U.S. Census, Munster had a population of 23,894 residents. As a suburban community in the greater Chicago region, the town serves as a residential area for commuters and families in the northwestern Indiana area.
