Moscow is a city in North Central Idaho and the county seat of Latah County, situated along the state's border with Washington. At the 2020 United States census, the city had a population of 25,435.
The city is home to the University of Idaho, the state's land-grant institution and primary research university. The presence of the university shapes much of Moscow's character and economy, making it a regional educational and research hub in the northern part of the state.
