Lewiston is a city located in the north-central region of Idaho, United States. It serves as the county seat of Nez Perce County and functions as the principal city of the Lewiston, ID-WA Metropolitan Statistical Area, which encompasses all of Nez Perce County and Asotin County, Washington.

The city is the third-largest in the northern Idaho region, following Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene, and ranks as the twelfth-largest city in the state. According to the 2020 census, Lewiston had a population of 34,203, reflecting an increase from 31,894 recorded in 2010.
