Carrollton is a city located in western Georgia within the United States. It serves as the county seat of Carroll County and is situated approximately 45 miles (72 km) west of Atlanta, near the Alabama state line. The city is included in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
The city is home to two educational institutions: the University of West Georgia and West Georgia Technical College. As of 2020, Carrollton had a population of 26,738 residents.
