Dunedin is a city located in Pinellas County, Florida, within the Tampa–St. Petersburg–Clearwater metropolitan area. The city is the fifth largest in Pinellas County, with a population of 36,068 according to the 2020 census. Its name derives from Dùn Èideann, the Scottish Gaelic name for Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland.
