Palm Springs is a desert resort city located in Riverside County, California, within the Colorado Desert's Coachella Valley. Covering approximately 94 square miles (240 km²), it stands as the largest city in Riverside County by land area.
The city features multiple plots arranged in a checkerboard pattern. More than 10% of the city's territory is part of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians reservation land, which serves as the administrative capital for the most populated reservation in California.
