Zavetnoye is a small settlement located in Crimea, a peninsula in southern Ukraine that has been disputed territory since 2014. The settlement is situated in the eastern part of the Crimean peninsula.
Like many settlements in Crimea, Zavetnoye's administrative status and governance have been affected by the geopolitical situation in the region. The area remains administratively part of Ukraine according to international law, though it has been under de facto Russian control since 2014.
