Plymouth is a village located on the north-west coast of Tobago, part of the Trinidad and Tobago nation. The settlement has historical significance as one of the early European colonial establishments on the island.
The village was first settled by Courlanders, people from Courland (a historical region in present-day Latvia), who established a presence on Tobago's north-western shore. This settlement reflects the colonial period when various European powers competed for control and settlement of Caribbean territories.
