Saray is a municipality and district located in Van Province in eastern Turkey. The district covers an area of 872 square kilometers and had a population of 19,471 as of 2022.
Caziye Duman of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) was elected mayor in 2019. In November 2019, she was arrested along with 14 others on terrorism charges, with security officials alleging involvement in activities related to a terrorist organization's women's structure. Following her arrest, she was replaced by a government-appointed trustee.
