Notsé is a town in the Plateaux Region of Togo. It serves as the capital of Haho Prefecture and lies about 95 km north of Lomé, the national capital.
The town was formed around 1600 by the Ewe people, after they were displaced westward by the expansion of the Yoruba. This makes Notsé a settlement of considerable historical significance within the Ewe past, and it is often identified as an early centre of Ewe settlement.
Its role as the administrative seat of Haho Prefecture gives it a continuing function within the Plateaux Region, while its position on the route north from Lomé places it within the country's central transport corridor.
