Humenné is a town located in the Prešov Region of eastern Slovakia. It holds the distinction of being the second largest town within the historic Zemplín region.
The settlement is situated at the foot of the Vihorlat mountains, which are characterized by their volcanic origins. Geographically, it is positioned at the confluence of the Laborec and Cirocha rivers.
