Kibungo is a municipality located in the Eastern Province of Rwanda. It serves as a regional center and administrative hub within this part of the country.
Historically, the area was designated as the Kibungo Province before administrative reorganizations. Today, it remains a recognized location within the eastern region of Rwanda.
