Odobești is a town in Vrancea County, in the Western Moldavia region of Romania. It is one of the county's urban centres, and its administration extends to include a single associated village, Unirea.
The town is located in the historical region of Moldavia, in the eastern part of Romania, within Vrancea County. Vrancea is known for its position where the Carpathian Mountains meet the plains, and the county seat is Focșani.
Odobești is best known for its association with wine production. The surrounding area forms part of one of Romania's oldest and most recognised wine-growing regions, and the town has long been linked to vineyards in the Vrancea hills.
