Păltiniș is a locality in Caraș-Severin County, in the Banat region of western Romania. It is a village administered as part of the commune of Cornereva, situated in the mountainous terrain of the county.
The settlement lies in a rural, highland area characterised by forested hills and scattered households, typical of the dispersed villages found throughout the Caraș-Severin uplands. Its economy and daily life are tied to the surrounding countryside rather than to large-scale tourism or industry.
Păltiniș should not be confused with the better-known mountain resort of the same name near Sibiu, in the Cindrel Mountains of Transylvania, which lies roughly 35 kilometres south-west of Sibiu. The two places share a name but are distinct and located in different parts of Romania.
