Takamaka

Reunion

Takamaka is a village located in southeastern Réunion, positioned near the southeastern tip of the island. It lies in close proximity to Le Grand Brûlé, the caldera of Piton de la Fournaise, one of the world's most active volcanoes. The village is situated to the northeast of Saint-Philippe, another community in the same region.

The village's location near the volcanic caldera and the broader southeastern volcanic landscape shapes its geography and character. This area of Réunion is defined by its volcanic terrain and geological significance, making Takamaka part of one of the island's most geologically distinctive regions.
